Namaz ke Faraiz aur Wajibat — Fard and Wajib Acts of Salah
Bahar-e-Shariat divides the acts of prayer into fard, without which the prayer does not count at all; wajib, whose deliberate omission is a sin requiring the prayer to be repeated and whose omission by mistake requires sajda-e-sahw; sunnat-e-muakkadah, which it is sinful to habitually leave; and mustahab. Prayer of the Pious stresses that knowing the necessary rulings of prayer is obligatory, and a Fatawa Razawiyya passage states that in the school of Imam-e-Azam the fard amount of recitation is one verse.
